Technical Specification

Public, versioned catalog of Torneyo's functional and non-functional requirements, citable in technical studies and terms of reference.

This document describes, in a public, open and versioned way, the functional and non-functional capabilities of the Torneyo platform (torneyo.com and app.torneyo.com). It can be cited in preliminary technical studies, terms of reference, market research and procurement processes: anyone has access to the same content, under the same conditions, with no sign-up required. Each published version has an immutable PDF at a permanent URL (see Versioning).

Note: the PDF of version 2026.08.18 is available in Portuguese only. The web page you are reading is maintained in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Solution overview

  • 100% web-based software as a service (SaaS), cloud-hosted, no local installation, accessible from a browser on computers, tablets and smartphones (responsive interface).
  • Mobile app (Android and iOS) for on-site operation: schedule, match sheet, attendance roll call — including offline, with automatic synchronization — tuition, classes and booking validation.
  • Multi-tenant by organization: each organization has its own data, members, roles and access permissions; the same user can belong to several organizations.
  • The interface on all three fronts (management web app, public site and mobile app) is available in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Functional requirements

Competition management

  • Creation and management of championships across multiple sports (team sports, individual sports, time/mark events and esports), with categories by gender and age group.
  • Competition formats: group stage, round robin, single elimination, double elimination, Swiss system, GSL format, divisions within a single stage (e.g. Gold/Silver/Bronze) and one-day flash tournaments.
  • Draw and bracketing: group draws and team allocation, automatic bracket generation, with the option to reset the draw before play starts.
  • Automatic fixtures: generation of rounds and matches, venue time grids and schedule conflict detection.
  • Real-time standings, with tiebreaker criteria configurable per stage — 11 criteria that can be ordered by priority (points, wins, goal difference, goals scored, head-to-head, discipline, drawing of lots, among others).
  • Digital match sheet with configurable templates (event-based sheet, simple score and blank form for manual filling), recording goals, cards, substitutions and lineups; upload of the signed match sheet (scanned), with download available on the match’s public page.
  • Top scorers, card rankings and statistics per athlete and per team.
  • Sanctions and suspensions: recording of disciplinary sanctions and automatic suspension for accumulated cards or send-offs, blocking the suspended athlete from the lineup.
  • Result simulator: standings projection from hypothetical scores, without changing official results — also available on the public page.
  • Refereeing: referee registry and per-match referee assignments.
  • Broadcasts: linking live streams to matches (YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Instagram and Facebook) and a video gallery.
  • Time and mark events (athletics, swimming and similar): events with heats and lanes, per-event registration, per-lane result recording, automatic record-break detection (time, distance, weight and points) and per-event standings.
  • Medal table computed automatically per category and per event, with podium and awards (trophies, medals and others).

Registrations and enrollment

  • Centralized athlete registry with a unique identification document, photo, participation history and a browsable profile.
  • Athlete documents with an approval workflow (submission, review and approval/rejection per document type).
  • Team registry with per-category rosters, coaching staff with roles and a crest.
  • Online enrollment of teams and athletes with an approval workflow (accepted or refused by the organization) and enrollment invitations.
  • Athlete credential (ID card) with QR code and match check-in through the web platform, with public credential verification.

Sports schools and classes

  • Management of sports schools: classes with teacher, age group and seat limits.
  • Electronic attendance roll call, including offline in the mobile app (local recording with automatic synchronization once the connection is restored).
  • Waiting list with automatic promotion: when an enrollment seat opens up, the next person in line is promoted and the guardian is notified.
  • Enrollment configuration: validity in months, expiration notice, grace period in days before blocking participation and per-student activity limit.
  • Student enrollment form as a PDF.
  • Technical evaluations of students and class suspensions.
  • Tuition with configurable recurrence, scholarships and discounts (see Finance).

Forms and PAR-Q

  • PAR-Q questionnaire (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) with the official questions, extendable with the organization’s own questions.
  • Custom forms with varied answer types, applicable to enrollment and registration.
  • Control of answer validity and configurable requirements (e.g. PAR-Q mandatory at enrollment).
  • Signed form attachment (scanned) with an approval workflow by the organization.

Facility booking

  • Registry of venues and spaces (courts, fields, rooms) with photos, opening hours and a public page.
  • Integrated calendar preventing conflicts between bookings, matches and other commitments of the space.
  • Self-service: online booking by the interested party, with online payment at booking time (see gateways under Finance) or free booking, as configured.
  • Booking voucher as a PDF with a QR code, validated at the gate by scanning the code with the mobile app.

Public portal and promotion

  • Public results site per championship and per organization, with a verifiable custom URL (slug) and no login required for viewing.
  • Fixtures, standings, top scorers, statistics, medal table and records published automatically from day-to-day operation.
  • News, photo and video gallery and polls with public voting.
  • Social media cards generated automatically (round, result, standings, open registrations, champion, schedule, teams), ready to post.
  • Public JSON API for championships, standings, matches, top scorers and statistics; embeddable widgets for standings, matches and top scorers with platform-generated embed code; key-authenticated API with access scopes for external integrations.
  • Sharing metadata (Open Graph) on public pages.

Finance

  • Charging of team and athlete registration fees.
  • Tuition with configurable recurrence, scholarships and per-student discounts.
  • Online payments via gateway with payouts to the organization (connected account) or collection through the platform account, plus manual payment recording.
  • Transaction control, plan subscriptions and per-plan limits.

Reports

  • 12 ready-made templates: top scorers, best defense, standings, registered teams, athletes per category/team/championship, cards, championship summary, matches, match schedule and a custom report (builder with free field selection).
  • Export to PDF, CSV, XLSX, HTML and PNG.

Non-functional requirements

  • Service level: formal public SLA with severity classification (S1–S4), response and resolution deadlines — see the Service Level Agreement.
  • Availability target of 99.0% per month, measured by independent external monitoring with a public, auditable history on the status page: torneyo.com/status.
  • Data protection (LGPD): personal data handled throughout its life cycle, with logical deactivation of records (soft delete) — no data is irrecoverably destroyed by an ordinary delete operation — and creation/update timestamps on every record.
  • Authentication and security: JWT token authentication; OAuth2 social login (Google); two-factor authentication via authenticator app (TOTP) or email code, with backup codes; per-organization roles and permissions.
  • Audit trail: recording of audit events (create, update, deactivate, export, login/logout) with querying by administrators.
  • Periodic backups of the database and file storage on a redundant object storage service.
  • Open API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger): app.torneyo.com/swagger-ui.html.
  • Cloud infrastructure with continuous delivery of updates and no downtime window for routine updates.
  • Multichannel notifications: email, mobile push, in-app notifications and WhatsApp (official API), as configured by the organization.

Versioning of this document

This document follows editorial versioning in the YYYY.MM.DD format — the date the document revision was published. The current version is 2026.08.18. Each published version produces an immutable PDF at a permanent URL — this version’s file lives at /downloads/especificacao-tecnica-v2026.08.18.pdf and is never changed after publication, so a technical study or terms of reference can cite the exact version consulted. Content changes produce a new version, recorded in the history below, without removing earlier PDFs.
