Class rulebook and discipline
Rulebook with versions and athlete acceptance (optionally required to confirm attendance), AI draft, and the no-show rule: fine, warning, suspension and appeal.
Two screens on the class card: Rulebook, where the rules are written and accepted, and Discipline, where the no-show rule turns into a fine, warning or suspension. For sanctions in tournaments, see Suspensions and sanctions.
Rulebook
Writing and publishing
Write the text in simple Markdown (## for headings, ** for bold, - for lists) or use Generate draft: answer a few questions (lateness tolerance in minutes, whether no-shows carry a penalty, how many no-shows in a month lead to suspension, notes) and Torneyo builds a draft from the sport’s template, refined by AI when quota is available. You review it before publishing. Don’t include names, phone numbers or emails in the text.
Publish makes the text the current version. Each publication creates a new immutable version, and anyone who had accepted the previous one has to accept again. The version history stays on the screen. You can save a draft without publishing, edit from the current version or discard the draft.
Athlete acceptance
The athlete reads and accepts the rulebook in three places:
- when accepting the class invitation (“I have read and accept the class rulebook”);
- in the athlete area, which flags when a version is pending;
- on the public session link, before confirming attendance.
The acceptances screen shows who accepted which version and when.
Requiring acceptance to confirm attendance
Tick Require the athlete to accept this version before confirming attendance by link. From then on, whoever sends /vou in the group or tries to confirm through the link without having accepted gets the rulebook link instead of the confirmation. The extra event (barbecue) doesn’t require acceptance.
Discipline
A no-show is confirming attendance and not coming. The class rule turns no-shows into consequences, the same way for everyone.
The rule
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| No-show fine (R$) | Amount charged per no-show. Zero turns it off. |
| No-shows for a warning | How many no-shows in the window trigger a warning. Zero turns it off. |
| No-shows for a suspension | How many no-shows in the window trigger a suspension. Zero turns it off. |
| Counting window (days) | Period over which no-shows are added up. |
| Apply automatically | On, sanctions are applied without approval. Off, they become suggestions for you to approve. |
Sanctions are generated when you record the day’s attendance: Torneyo cross-checks who confirmed against who came.
Suggestions and actions
With “apply automatically” off, each no-show becomes a suggestion on the Discipline screen: approve, reject or edit. On applied sanctions, you can cancel, mark the fine as paid (the income goes into the cash box) or waived, and apply a sanction manually.
Effects
- Fine: an outstanding charge for the athlete. It shows up in
/devo, in/pix, in the class’s overdue payments and, if the lock is on, weighs on waiting list priority. Once paid, it becomes income in the cash box. - Warning: a formal record, with no time out.
- Suspension: blocks attendance confirmation for the period. Whoever sends
/vouis told they’re suspended, with no reason shown in the group;/naovouis still allowed.
Appeal
The athlete sees their own sanctions in their area and can appeal with a justification. The appeal appears on the Discipline screen; you reply (optional) and decide: upheld or accepted. The athlete is told the decision.
FAQ
Is the fine charged automatically? It goes in as an outstanding charge and shows up in /devo and /pix. Payment is by Pix, outside the platform; you mark it paid.
I changed the rulebook, do I need to tell everyone? Publishing a new version invalidates the previous acceptances. If acceptance is required to confirm attendance, /vou itself sends the link to the new text.
Does a no-show at an extra event count? No. Only the game produces no-shows, fines, rankings and reports.
Does resetting the season wipe the rulebook? The “fines, suspensions and acceptances” scope wipes sanctions and acceptances; the rulebook text stays.
