How We’re Building Torneyo: Behind the Scenes
Torneyo started from a simple observation: organizing amateur championships shouldn’t require spreadsheets and WhatsApp chaos.
The Problem
Tournament organizers spend more time on logistics than watching games. Manual brackets, paper scoresheets, and scattered communication create friction for everyone involved.
Our Approach
We’re building Torneyo as a complete platform: automatic bracket generation, digital scoresheets, real-time standings, and a public page for each championship. All accessible from any device.
Tech Stack
Spring Boot backend, Angular frontend, PostgreSQL database. Deployed on Railway (API) and Vercel (website). We chose proven technologies that let us move fast.
What’s Next
We’re working on WhatsApp notifications, AI-assisted scoresheets, gamification for athletes, and a sponsorship marketplace. Follow our blog for updates.
