In September we launched the assistant and text suggestions. Now Torneyo’s AI takes a step further: it acts — always the same way, propose, you review, you confirm. Nothing is saved without your approval.
The organizer’s time is the product
Anyone who runs an amateur tournament knows where the time goes: typing an entire rulebook into the creation form, standing by the bench tapping a tiny button to log every goal, or copying names one by one from a WhatsApp list into the roster. None of these tasks need creativity — they just need time.
That is exactly where AI now helps for real.
Create your championship from the rulebook you already wrote
In the creation wizard, the Start from your rulebook option accepts the PDF, DOCX or TXT you already wrote (up to 10 MB). The text is extracted on the server and the AI proposes a competition format, categories, phases, registration rules and tiebreaker criteria — citing the rulebook article each suggestion came from. You review every field before creating it. It is a pre-filled form, not an automatic decision.
Log the result without leaving the bench
In Simple Mode on the matches screen, the Enter by voice button turns on your browser’s microphone. Narrate “2 to 1 for the home team, goal by John at minute 10, goal by Peter at minute 25” and the AI builds the score and events. Audio never leaves your device — only the already-transcribed text reaches the AI.
If something does not add up — two similarly named players, a goal with no scorer — it asks before building the review card, which shows Home, Away, the score and the events in order. You confirm one match, or use Confirm the whole round to review several at once.
Paste the WhatsApp list and let AI organize it
Registering a roster is now paste and review too: with Paste roster (AI), paste the list of athletes exactly as it is in the group, and the AI organizes it into an editable table with name, jersey number, position and date of birth. It cross-checks against athletes already registered, checks the category’s age range and warns if the total exceeds your plan’s limit. You adjust before confirming.
Always confirms before saving
That was the guiding principle for all of it: AI proposes, shows exactly what will change in a review card, and only saves after you Confirm. That applies to the assistant’s conversation mode too — ask it to “move Saturday’s match to Sunday” or “generate the next round” and it hands back the card before applying anything.
Available on the free plan already
Like the other AI features, all of this is available starting on the Free plan, within the monthly token quota (50k on Free, 250k on Starter, 2 million on Pro, 5 million or as agreed by contract on Enterprise). If your organization already has its own key with an AI provider (Anthropic or OpenAI-compatible), you can use it instead of the plan quota — set it up under Organization → AI settings.
What we are not promising yet
Detailed events (goal scorer, assist) only exist in sports that track goals or points per player; in sports without that level of detail, voice entry only sets the final score. Voice recognition works on Chrome, Edge and the default Android browser — Safari and Firefox are not yet supported.
