Running a tournament is 20% sport and 80% text: rules, the public page description, invitations to teams, the result post, the round’s news, and the same question arriving on WhatsApp for the tenth time. Starting today, Torneyo does a good part of that work for you. There are three artificial intelligence features, all available in the free plan.
1. An assistant that knows Torneyo better than we do
The robot button, in the corner of any screen, opens an assistant that answers usage questions based on our entire help center. Ask “how do I set up a tournament with a group stage and knockouts?” and it returns numbered steps with a link to the article behind each one.
What sets it apart from a generic chatbot:
- It knows where you are. It knows the selected organization, the plan and the open screen. “How many teams can I still register?” gets an answer with your limit, not a generic one.
- It does not make things up. When the documentation does not cover the question, it says so and offers human support. One click sends the conversation to our team by e-mail, with the context of what you were trying to do.
- It learns from you. Every answer can be rated 👍 or 👎. Well-rated answers become examples for the next ones; poorly rated ones become lessons on what to avoid.
2. Ready-made texts where you lose the most time
Next to the tournament description, the feed post and the news body there is now a Suggest with AI button. It uses only what is already in the form (name, sport, city, dates, number of teams) and your organization’s tone of voice to write a finished version. You use it, edit it, or discard it and ask for another with an extra instruction like “shorter” or “mention the sponsor”.
In practice: the description of a “2026 Coastal Cup, futsal, 8 teams in Itajaí” comes out in 3 seconds, in two paragraphs that would take you ten minutes. And it sounds like you, because the tone of voice (journalistic, casual, formal or motivational) is set once per organization.
3. Summary, news and post straight from the match sheet
Match over and score entered? The Generate with AI button on the match screen turns the match sheet into four texts: narrative summary, round news, social media post and statistical analysis. Everything stays as a draft for you to review before publishing as tournament news.
For anyone publishing results for 10 matches per round, it is the difference between updating the page on Sunday night or on Wednesday.
What it costs
AI consumes tokens (units of text) and every plan includes a monthly quota:
| Plan | AI tokens per month | Enough for |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 50k | trying it out: about 8 to 10 assistant answers |
| Starter | 250k | weekly use by the organizer |
| Pro | 2 million | heavy use by the whole team |
| Enterprise | by contract | — |
Prefer to use your own account with an AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or compatible)? Paste the key under the organization’s AI settings and the plan quota is no longer consumed. The key is stored encrypted and never displayed again.
What about privacy?
The AI only receives what it needs: team names, scores, what you type and the form data. CPF, e-mail, phone, address and banking data are masked before sending, and data of minors never leaves the platform. Every call is logged with date, model and usage for auditing. Details are in our privacy policy.
